Me Smell?

Sometimes we don't think we smell at all, and yet we do in other ways than just scent. Now if it's a good smell or a bad one, you be the judge. Start thinking or even asking some trusting friends that would be totally honest with you if you have a good odor about you or not. You may be asking why I am implying aroma rather than visual, but with our 5 senses, we do perceive in many ways. Haven't you ever come across a person who you felt "stunk" to you, even when you first glimpsed at them at a distance, but never so called, "smelled" them?

I know you have heard of the term, "you are what you eat". Same with smell. You smell like what you are as a person. Let's relate this about the "inward man" to make sense of this point I am making. A sweet person who is giving, kind, and nice.....gives to those who know her/him a sweet fragrance when people talk of them, or see them. Bitter in, bitter out! Ugly in, ugly out! Beauty in, beauty out! You get the picture. So what are you putting in?

The bible makes reference to us in smell as well. (2 Cor.2:15) says, For we are to God the fragranceof Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. (Ep.5:2) says,And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

What we do becomes an aroma we leave of ourselves to be lasting or undesirable. So do you leave in your pathway and life, a sweet smelling aroma, or distasteful scent of stench? Yes, your life is yours to do with what you please, just remember about those in your path that have to smell your scent along the way. Just as one who puts too much perfume on, it causes all those who come near to cough, or be overwhelmed at that strong scent whether they like the smell or not. May you choose good decisions and character, so those around you will feel as though they smelled a heavenly scent when you walked in the room. I smell...I smell...I smell....you! What perfume of life are you wearing?
